B-Reel opened it’s first US office in 2006 in New York, followed by Los Angeles in 2008. We hired smart, creative young people, many of whom were just starting out, like us. Years have passed since then, and many of those people are still with us today. Those people are growing up and starting families, and B-Reel wants to grow with them. In order to better support our employees, B-Reel has joined Pledge Parental Leave.
Pledge Parental Leave is setting the standard for paid parental leave benefits in the creative industry in the US. As part of this pledge, B-Reel now offers up to 3 months paid parental leave for the primary caregiver of a new child (mother, father, birthed or adopted) and secondary caregivers are eligible for two weeks paid leave. Additional unpaid time off is also available, for a total of six months for primary caregivers and six weeks for secondary caregivers. During both paid and unpaid time off employees will continue to receive fully paid health care coverage and are guaranteed their jobs when they return.
Coming from Swedish roots, B-Reel firmly believes in and stands by a strong parental leave policy. We put our people and their families first and we are proud to be a part of this important movement. That’s why, in addition to adopting PPL in our US offices B-Reel is also offering compensation to our European employees in addition to the parental benefits afforded in their respective countries.
